Collage Exhibit & Collage Workshop at Phoenix

Phoenix Art Supplies and Framing will host an exhibition of a local artist, “Ann Irwin, Visionary Artist,” with an opening reception on Friday, April 26, at 7:00pm.  The exhibit runs through May 19.  Margaret Matheson of Phoenix says that the late artist’s husband, Roy Zipris, has shepherded her work through a solo exhibit at the Michener Museum in 2011, and has now chosen Phoenix to share her moving and haunting work with the public.

To add a hands-on feature to this wonderful show, Phoenix has arranged for a workshop with Stacie Speer Scott.  The 3–hour guided workshop into the expressive medium of collage is entitled “The Tangible Becomes the Intangible” and will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 1 to 4 pm. The workshop fee is $35 per person, limit 6.   (Paid reservation required, call to reserve)
