Illustration Classes taught by Professional Illustrators
Two members of the Bucks County Illustrators Society, who are themselves professional commercial artists, will teach local classes in various illustration techniques.
Glenn Zimmer will teach two colored pencil classes at the Scatter Joy Center for the Arts in Horsham. Dates are October 6 for Beginners and November 3 and 10 for Advanced. The Beginner class will teach the basics of layering color using colored pencils to create the subtle nuances that establish light and form. The class will begin with a introduction to the medium and technique followed by a brief demonstration. Students will have the opportunity to apply the technique with a hands-on project under the supervision of the instructor.
The Advanced class begins with an introduction to the style of rendering that utilizes layers of color to establish light and form. Students will have the opportunity to see professional illustrations rendered using the technique with an opportunity to ask questions and create a picture or illustration using the style and technique described. The Scatter Joy Center for the Arts is next to Kathy Davis Studios, 303 Horsham Road in Horsham, PA.
